Before You Give Up, Read This
Do you have a dream?
Have you found your purpose?
Have you been working towards it for a long time with no results?
Are you debating on throwing in the towel?
If the answer to these questions are yes, there’s something you should read here.
Wanting to Quit Isn’t Failing
It's actually quitting that is.
You’ve been grinding non stop, putting in the hours, showing up, doing the work, but you don’t feel seen and that’s why you feel like it isn’t worth it. External validation shouldn’t be your why. Don’t let your mind lie to you. They see you. Everyone sees you, especially the people who are meant to.
The Real Reason You Want to Give Up (Isn’t Why You Think)
Ever heard of fight or flight?
Your urge to quit isn’t a logical desire. It’s your fears and frustrations trying surfacing to protect you.Their caution signs for what doesn’t feel familiar. When we’re uncomfortable or uncertain our minds may get the best of us.
Do not listen to the call to walk away. Quitting is not a safer path and a safer path doesn’t mean that it's the right one. Honestly, chasing purpose was never meant to be safe.
Why does the idea of giving up come with guilt? It’s because it isn’t the answer. Those repetitive daydreams that keep you up at night are simply your intuition reminding you that there’s more to be explored.
Bravery is Required, Not Perfection
Your purpose deserves your courage.
Your dedication.
There will be occurrences that work to place your life on indefinite pause. You must fight against this. You must push through.
The obstacles you’re facing are simply hurdles to prevent your greatness from reaching the surface. They show up when you are on the cusp of something epic.
You Need Change, Don’t Abandon It - Expand the Vision
Sometimes the answer isn’t quitting—it’s a much needed refresh and realignment.
It's important that you always have a full understanding of:
What you actually want
Why you want it
Why it’s worth wanting
Not everything we want is what we need, and growth often requires adjustment that may seem uncomfortable at first. Do not surrender to what is meant to derail you.
Purpose doesn’t have a finish line or an expiration date. You should refrain from self-imposed deadlines. Just keep going.
Before You Quit, Give This a Try
Pause and do this:
Envision your life if you’d trust yourself fully.
Think back to the moment you knew this mission was yours.
Reflect on how fulfilling your purpose impacts people beyond you.
Acknowledge the wins—big and small.
Remember the challenges you’ve already overcome.
Greatness isn’t meant to be easy. If it were, it wouldn’t be impressive.
Imagine that your decision not to quit could ignite someone else’s purpose. You can’t give up.
This journey isn’t just about you.
Slow and Steady, Celebrate Delays
Too often we receive delays as a sign of why we shouldn’t proceed and yes this can be true, but it is only a temporary pause. Delays aren’t meant for indefinite retreat. They are protection in the moment, offering you a little extra time to reevaluate and prepare for everything that comes with reaching your destination.
You were led to this path because you are capable of conquering it. You weren’t promised a deadline. You were simply shown the vision of what it all can be.
If you give up, how will you see that it happens?
So the next time you feel like giving up, remind yourself to keep going. You didn’t come this far for nothing. You’re never behind, you’re right where you’re meant to be.
